😂🤣 You also have my admiration. See, I'm easy. Don't want you getting discouraged. You sometimes harsh my chill with vibes from another side, bro, but the discomfort usually feels like growth, so we're righteous anyhow. Peace out!
(Actually the breadth of your reading freaks me out sometimes. I used to think I was well read. My technical and theological reading is probably wider. 😉)
Well, as a general rule, I do not select podcast guests based on their genitalia. Also, if 90% of my guests were women, I doubt anyone would point out the "blind spot" of not having more men. Besides, 2 of my 3 last guests were women and 3 of my next 3 guests are women, so I reject the very premise. But I respect the effort to keep me honest, even if I find it misguided, so I thank you.
I'm not talking about genetals, I'm talking about lived experiences in the world. You mention more than one author and none of them have lived experiences of half the world. Like birthing and raising children. Every discussion of culture and communication has a side that is child raising and to not even mention it gives it gaping holes. Read Eve. Cat Bohannon. Seriously, change your mind, you seem stuck.
My newsletter is about political extremism and you want me to ask guests about birthing and raising children? Although I think those are important issues, they are irrelevant here.
I just think women have perspectives about political extremism where the obvious counter factual is a takedown of patriarchy. Your arguments are so weak because you don't have a path forward that can be imagined, like Barbie Dreamland. A much better place than what we got
Will you please interview Alicia Garza? Did you read her book The Purpose of Power? I wonder if she agrees with you that women have no distinct understanding of political extremism.
David, you make me glad to be a subscriber. Thank you again.
Always happy to earn your approval, Steve.

Thank you for this essay.
And what about women?
What do you mean?

I have no idea whether she is sexist but I doubt she would ever agree to come on my show.
