Great interview. So much to think about but, over the last few years, I worry and wonder how much I've become what I'd call a "clear-headed reactionary," so sure of my doubts and suspicions that I've become what I fear.
Exactly, we can never be sure what unseen dogma we've use to leverage ourselves out of the last one. The only trick I know is to consider my margin of error and factor in 10% uncertainty into almost every conclusion.
Just picked up The Rise of the New Normal Reich and have three of his other books in my cart ready for purchase. Much love and power to CJ to keep up his fight against the GloboCap fascists.
Thank you for bringing your literary penchant to this invigorating interview, David, as you elicited some responses CJ hasn’t had a chance to articulate elsewhere.
For example, now I know why I have such an affinity for CJ, his writing, and his piquant sense of humor—I see we share many of the same favorite writers (especially Vonnegut, Heller, Orwell, Kesey, Kafka, Dostoevsky, Chayefsky, Yeats, and Eliot).
I also appreciated learning more about “The Extremists” and only wish I could have had the privilege of witnessing the live experience.
Go out and support CJ. I just bought several of his books, subscribed to his stack and donated to his defense fund.
He’s fighting fights on our behalf.
Always provocative, Mr. Hopkins is true intellectual treasure. Thank you!
Great discussion with an incredible man. Thank you.

I know CJ isn’t a fan of labels, nor am I, but I think he does qualify as a fellow Apocaloptimist—a.k.a. a practitioner of the Stockdale Paradox + Confront the Brutal Facts (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-my-karass).
Thank you both for this espresso shot of truth, which makes a succinct complement to my eight-course meal with him ;-)
