This is fantastic David! It’d be interesting to know if this so-called “activist” has read Jonathan Rauch’s “Kindly Inquisitors”, which beautify explains why free speech is vital to our survival as a society and has a final chapter about Frank Kameny, one of the greatest, if least mentioned heroes in the struggle for employment rights for LGBT people.
It’s truly mystifying to me that someone like him in particular, who would be among the first victims for several reasons, should promote censorship. But being against the free market, he’s muted his post and commented he has no interest in differing views.
“When I am weaker that you, I ask you for Freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your Freedom because that is according to my principles.” - Frank Herbert
The important thing to recognize is that the freedom (or even existence) of people who disagree with them is NOT according to their principles.
Will do, but he’s already said he muted the post and is uninterested in other views. Predictably, since he doesn’t believe in the marketplace of ideas (and has no good ones of his own).

“No interest in differing views” is a pretty apt tagline for what America has become.

Let us know if he responds; would love to hear what he has to say.
