Dear Readers,
I am very happy to say that in less than a year and a half, The Radicalist has grown from 37 followers to more than 10,000!
Thank you for all your support!
The Army of the Ten Thousand were Greek mercenaries hired to seize the Persian throne. They ended up stranded deep in enemy territory but made their way out, led by the writer Xenophon, and their journey has become one of the greatest adventure stories of all time, as detailed in Xenophon’s Anabasis.
No doubt many of you often feel we are lost in enemy territory within our own nation, set upon by forces that do not share our values. Our nation is divided and reliable information is difficult to parse. But we will make it out, and I will do all that I can to make sense of the path as we go and help lead the way.
So far, my commentary and analysis has received praise from some of the leading journalists, academics, and business leaders. I have received opportunities, support, and encouragement in one form or another from Bari Weiss, Konstantin Kisin, Katie Herzog, Elon Musk, Katie Couric, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
But the most valuable feedback comes from readers like yourself, and the most valuable support comes from readers who choose to subscribe. So to celebrate, I want to hear from you.
Also, please let me know what kind of focus you’d you like to see when it comes to commentary on extremism.
And because I sometimes veer from extremism to write about unrelated issues, please drop a suggestion on that front too.
If there’s an option I didn’t list, write it in the comments section or second someone else’s comment. And thanks again for being part of the team.
Here’s to the next 10,000!
Warmly,
David
Congratulations David!
From the poll thus far, looks like cultural commentary, highlighting the left, woke, communists, with a dash of humor are all in the lead. That’s your sweet spot. And Hitler’s sex life didn’t make the cut, thank God.
As you know, I am a long time fan. (The offer to have tea is still open if you get up to Southeast Wisconsin.) I light up when I see a new post from you on SubStack. I celebrate your success with you and hope this is the beginning of even greater things in the future. Wishing you and your family the best. May this holiday season find you all healthy, happy, and may you prosper in the new year. You have my admiration and continued support, David.
